Outstanding HRD Academic Program Award
The Outstanding HRD Academic Program Award is presented to an outstanding human resource development academic program based on a continuous record of excellence.
Award Criteria
- Number of full-time faculty who identify themselves as HRD faculty
- Progressive/innovative curriculum and courses
- Publications by faculty and graduate students
- Placement of graduates in academic, professional, or business leadership roles
- Short history of the program including challenges in its establishment and how those challenges were met
- Innovative changes in the past two or three years and their impact
- Involvement of faculty in community service to businesses and community organizations (independent of individual faculty consulting activities)
Current Status of the Award
This award became inactive with the formation of the AHRD Program Excellence Network (PEN) in 2007. One of the PEN's objectives is to develop a new way of recognizing academic excellence.
