Department Head, Human Resource Development: Seeking an experienced candidate at the senior associate professor or full professor level with a doctorate in Human Resource Development or a closely related field with a proven record of research. The responsibility will be to lead the department in areas related to faculty activities and evaluation, curriculum, support staff, students and academic policy, planning and budgets, and external relations. The department head will work closely with the dean and associate dean to implement the College's mission and goals.

Assistant Professor of Human Resource Development: Two (2) tenure-track positions available. Earned Doctorate in Human Resource Development (HRD) or closely related field. Candidates should also provide evidence of strong research and a commitment to excellence in teaching and advising.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of a specialization within HRD and a record of, or capacity to provide leadership in the HRD program. This program is housed in the College of Business and Technology. Formal study in business and work experience in the private sector is also preferred.

RESPONSIBILTIES:  Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1) carrying out a program of research; 2) participating in collaborative research that involves business practitioners, Ph.D. students, and faculty; 3) providing leadership in the HRD program and advising students; and 4) teaching HRD courses.

SALARY:  The salary range is competitive, commensurate with qualification and experience.

The School of Education announces a full-time, 9-month tenure-track, assistant professor position in the area of Adult Learning and Organizational Performance in the Department of Leadership, Counseling and Adult Development. Doctorate in adult learning, human resource development or related areas is preferred, those in the advanced stages of dissertation will be considered. Teaching at the collegiate level and/or experience in corporate training and development is desired.

Job responsibilities include teaching nine credit hours in the fall and spring terms with summer teaching optional. The areas of curricular need include: needs analysis and evaluation, instructional design, human performance improvement, strategic planning, leadership and other related areas. The possibility of teaching one undergraduate course per year exists.

Summary: The department chair provides leadership for the department's efforts to enhance learning and performance through innovative research, teaching, and service in the three constructs of: learning technology, performance technology, and computing technology.
